How to use
- Drop in one or more images: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP or a still GIF. Everything runs on this device.
- “Target size (KB)” is already selected with 1024 in the box. Change it if you need a different ceiling. The tool re-encodes a few times to find the highest quality that still fits, and shrinks the pixel dimensions only when quality alone cannot get there.
- Each file is measured against 1 MB on its own, not the batch total. When the target is reachable, a file comes out at or under 1 MB; when it isn't, you get the smallest file the tool could produce, with a notice on that row. Download them one by one or all together as a ZIP.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the file be exactly 1 MB?
No, 1 MB is a ceiling, not an exact size. The search stops as soon as a result fits, so files usually land a little under it. If even the lowest settings cannot reach 1 MB, you get the smallest file the tool could produce plus a notice on that row. KB means 1024 bytes here.
Are my images uploaded to compress them?
No. The encoders run inside your browser, so the images never leave your device and no server ever sees them. Large photos take a few seconds, and AVIF output takes considerably longer.
