Auto remove uses U²-Net (u2netp), a small model that runs on your device. The optional detailed cutout uses BiRefNet Lite (MIT license, github.com/ZhengPeng7/BiRefNet), which downloads about 112 MB of model files on first use and also runs in your browser. Both are credited on the Licenses page.
