How it works
- Open the tool on your phone (or any device with a camera) and start the camera.
- Frame the document: edges are detected automatically, and each capture can be perspective-corrected and enhanced in color, grayscale, or black-&-white.
- Capture as many pages as you need; reorder or delete them in the page strip. On a desktop without a camera, drop photo files instead.
- Export everything as a single multi-page PDF.
What people use it for
- Scanning receipts, contracts, and forms with your phone — no scanner app install.
- Digitizing a stack of paperwork into one clean PDF.
- Converting existing document photos into a proper PDF from the desktop fallback.
Good to know
- Captures are capped at 1600 px on the long side to keep memory in check — plenty for documents, but not an archival-grade scan.
- Edge detection expects a document that contrasts with its background; on busy backgrounds it falls back to the full frame, which you can still use.
- The camera never records: frames are processed locally and only the pages you keep go into the PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Does this work on iPhone and Android?
Yes — it uses the browser's camera API with the rear camera, no app installation. Your browser will ask for camera permission the first time.
Which enhancement mode should I pick?
Black-&-white gives the classic high-contrast scan look and the smallest files; grayscale preserves stamps and pencil; color keeps everything as shot.
Are my captures uploaded?
No. Corner detection, perspective correction, enhancement, and the PDF export all run in your browser — nothing is transmitted.
