Frequently asked questions

Type or draw: what is the difference?

Typed sets your name in a clean italic style for a consistent, legible mark; drawn captures your actual signature from a mouse, trackpad or touchscreen. Both are placed as a visible graphic.

Is this a legally binding digital signature?

It adds a visible signature image, not a certificate-based cryptographic signature. For simple sign-offs it is ideal; for legally certified e-signatures use a dedicated PKI service.

Does my document get uploaded?

No. The signature is drawn onto the PDF with pdf-lib in your browser; the document is never sent anywhere.
